Sakura Coupy Pencil 18-Color Set - Kuusoogai Zakkaten Edition is a limited-edition set from Sakura Color Products of Osaka, the company that created the Coupy Pencil in 1973. A Coupy is made entirely of color lead with a thin plastic coating - no wood - so it is hard to break, colors like a colored pencil, blends and shades like a crayon, and erases cleanly. This edition comes in a book-style box with an elastic band closure, decorated with the retro watercolor fantasy-town artwork of Kuusoogai Zakkaten ("Imaginary City Store"). The 18 basic colors were chosen by the artists themselves, and the set includes a sharpener and an original-design arch eraser. Released in June 2026 in limited quantities; availability may end without notice.
