Product Overview
Irojiten means colour dictionary, and Tombow built the set to be exactly that. The pencils come in a hardcover case shaped like a book, each pencil printed with its colour name rather than a number, and the colours are grouped by tone the way entries are grouped in a reference volume.
This is Volume 1, the thirty colours drawn from nature - earths, foliage, sky and water tones.

Who It Suits

About the Volumes
Irojiten is issued in several 30-colour volumes, each with its own palette. Volume 1 is the natural-tone set and the usual starting point. The volumes are designed to sit together on a shelf as the collection grows.
Storage
Keep the case closed and flat. Dropping coloured pencils fractures the core inside the wood, which then breaks repeatedly during sharpening.
